About conference
The conference will start with the premise that artistic freedom is essential for cultural and creative industries to thrive. This link will be explored from different perspectives during the conference with speakers and experts. Representatives of the cultural sector will gather for 3 days to discuss one of the most important issues of cultural policy: freedom of creativity.
Cultural workers and stakeholders are facing new and increasingly complex challenges. The COVID-19 pandemic has shed light on the vulnerability of the existing infrastructure of the cultural sector. Therefore, strengthening cooperation between cultural workers and enabling them to develop their profession is crucial. It is also important that participants have the opportunity to exchange their views and best practices to stimulate positive change.
The aim of the conference is to explore various aspects of artistic freedom and cultural and creative industries, as well as the interconnection between them. Both are closely related, and the former is a prerequisite for the latter.
Artistic freedom is the cornerstone of artistic expression and ensures cultural, social and economic development. By dedicating the conference to artistic freedom, the Ministry of Culture wants to shed light on the conditions, challenges and opportunities for artists. The goal is to facilitate discussion on how to strengthen the conditions for the cultural and creative sector to thrive.
